Class Description
All aboard the flavor ferry! In this hands-on class, we’ll dive into the irresistible world of European stuffed cheese bread. Your guide is Executive Pastry Chef Catie Wiley, who joins us after a distinguished career as a pastry chef at several iconic patisseries and restaurants on the East Coast.

Tonight, we're taking our inspiration from Khachapuri (Georgia) and Peinirli  (Greece)—two iconic stuffed breads that share a love for gooey cheese and golden crusts. Students will make a soft, yeasted dough from scratch, then shape it into boat-like vessels ready to cradle a savory, melty cheese filling. Just before finishing baking, we’ll crack a whole egg on top, giving each bread that signature creamy finish. Chef Catie will have cheese breads for you to sample as well as a fresh cucumber tomato salad with walnut dressing.

Along the way, you’ll learn tips for working with enriched dough, balancing flavors in the filling, and mastering the art of shaping and baking these stunning breads. Perfect for brunch, dinner, or your next show-off-worthy appetizer!

You will receive an Account Credit if you need to cancel at any time within three weeks but prior to the class start time. Please note that any refund issued for classes purchased using a Gift Certificate or Account Credit will result in reinstatement of the original Gift Card or Account Credit and will bear the same expiration date. Account Credits issued for cancelations within three weeks of a class will expire one year from the date of issuance. We reserve the right to cancel a class for any reason, at any time, in which case you will receive a full refund.
